This Artist's Copy 6/7 was painted by Chris Jolly and was originally to be sold on the mXc. He turned so nice that I really didn't want to sell him. So I closed the auction and kept him for myself to show and enjoy. He has won numerous Live Show Championships in halter and performance and finished the season by going NAN Top Ten in Show Jumping (he missed the deadline for qualifying for halter in time for NAN). I named him HM Captain Kangaroo for several reasons. First, I was fortunate enough to get a jump by Polly Cleveland patterned after the Sydney Boomerang jump for the 2000 Olympics to show him with. Secondly, Bob Keeshan who played Captain Kangaroo on TV had recently died and I grew up with his show and admired him greatly. Thirdly, the real Robinson jumped like a kangaroo or jackrabbit, so I felt this name would be most appropriate for him. He is part of my HorseModels.com showstring and will always be a special horse to me.
