This CM started out as a Pharaoh's Pride, which originally came from The Show Stopper bronze, sculpted by myself and my twin sister, Vicki Keeling. I remade one of the wax duplicates into a trotting Arab stallion, which Vicki finished into The King's Ransom. Vicki later resculpted one of the King's Ransom resins into Pharaoh's Pride. It was one of the PP's resins which I started resculpting at Marianne's house to make Al Ahkira (which means "the afterlife" in Arabic). We both saw this name at the same time and felt it was perfect to describe a total makeover of a resin! Marianne and I thumbed through the latest AHW magazine and found a photo of a Polish Arab named Ecaho. He was coming up to a mare and the pose was breathtaking! We both knew when we saw the photo that it would be the inspiration for the makeover. We did change the angle of the tail up a bit and made the opposite legs forward, but the rest is very similar to the pose. He still needs a lot of work, but I will add photos to his gallery as I have time to take more photos of him.
